Perception House : Residential
Admission Guidelines
All individuals aged 18 years or over who meet the CCPC criteria for a 3.5 level of care, and therefore no longer in need of inpatient psychiatric care or medical detoxification, are eligible to receive treatment at Perception House. All applicants will need to provide Perception House with a recent – within 30 days prior to admission - physical and negative PPD (or clear chest x-ray).
We strive to provide highly effective, safe and supportive co-occurring treatment to all who reside at Perception House. Our program is most beneficial to individuals who:
- Are not displaying active symptoms of a psychiatric disorder which would endanger the client and/or other clients in the program.
- Are not actively suicidal and/or homicidal.
- Can engage in treatment without cognitive or physical limitations that impede their ability to participate.
- Do not have severe medical problems that require ongoing outside medical treatment that curtails program participation.
- Will not be giving birth within the treatment period.
- Have not set a fire to harm people.
- Do not have a family member or significant other person already in treatment, or employed by, Perception Programs, Inc.
All admission screenings are reviewed on an individual basis according to the above guidelines. In line with DHMAS’ standards for enhanced co-occurring treatment, individuals will not be denied access to Perception House based upon the severity of their psychiatric diagnosis or their drug of choice.
