Project One-Eighty : Transitional Group
One-Eighty is designed to help inmates and those newly released from institutions develop healthy, productive lifestyles through a variety of groups and workshops.
The ISD Group (Intentional Skills Development) teach inmates effective problem-solving skills in a 5-week, 10 session group, and also provides offenders with positive, non-criminal role models.
Project One-Eighty also offers a ten-session SAE Group (Substance Abuse Education) for individuals on Transitional Supervision (TS), Parole, Probation, or who have discharged on their sentences.
Project One-Eighty is a component of Perception Programs, Inc. and is funded by the State of Connecticut Department of Correction and the Office of Alternative Sanctions.
"The offender is accountable to do some different thinking. That's the whole key behind the program: to instill some values, to instill a conscience, and get him thinking about how to change and do some things that are positive." --Gregory Little, Ed.D. Moral Recognition Therapy
