Next Step : Residential
Eligibility
To be eligible for Next Step an individual must:
- currently be incarcerated in a Department of Correction facility.
- have approval for Community Release by the Department of Correction or Parole.
- be referred by the Community Enforcement Residential Coordinator.
- have a minimum of 6 months remaining on her sentence OR, if the offense is exclusionary, have no more than 18 months remaining on her sentence.
- be physically able to work
- be motivated for treatment.
- indicate a willingness to abide by house rules and cooperate with program procedures.
- not be a high risk of responding with physical violence while in the program.
- be screened to determine whether the program can adequately meet her needs.
