Treatment Guidelines


  • No physical violence, threats of physical violence or provoking physical violence.
  • No use of illegal drugs or alcohol.
  • No abuse of prescription drugs.
  • No sexual relationships between program members or program members and staff.

Meeting Times

Groups will be held during the week, Mondays through Fridays (except holidays: New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day).

Attendance

Clients are expected to attend every scheduled appointment. Permission to miss a session must be sought in advance.

Absences

Two unexcused absences may result in dismissal from the program, unless a true emergency.

Confidentiality

Any information about any client of Perception Programs Inc. is confidential. Information shared in group is not to leave the group. Clients may discuss their own group experiences, but not in any way that identifies or discusses other group members.

Prescription & Non-Prescription Medications

The use of mood altering/pain killing prescription or non-prescription medications is discouraged. This includes medications containing alcohol. Clients must report to staff all medications being taken and their dosage.

Clients may be asked by their Clinician to consult with their physician if a medication they are taking contains a substance similar to or the same as a substance frequently abused by the client.

Taping

Some sessions may be tape recorded or videotaped for treatment purposes, or for the purpose of staff supervision/training. Clients will be asked permission before any taping occurs. If permission is given by the clients, a release must be signed prior to each taped session authorizing the program to tape them.
