New Perceptions : Adult Program
Evaluations
Our comprehensive evaluation determines if an adult has substance abuse issues. The evaluation consists of a bio-psychosocial assessment, specialized diagnostic testing, a family assessment and clinical interviews with the adolescent and family members. Additionally, we gather substance abuse specific information from school, medical, mental health and judicial personnel. The evaluation also includes a psychiatric consultation and urinalysis. Treatment recommendations are made according to the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) care-level criteria. Each client's specific treatment needs are identified and addressed.
Diagnostic Evaluations
Our Diagnostic Evaluation consists of a Psycho-Social Assessment, as well as a family assessment that uses a genogram and clinical interviews with the client and their family members. Also included in this evaluation is any related support work with school, medical, and judicial personnel.
We contract with Natchaug Hospital to schedule and follow through on court ordered psychological, psychiatric and substance abuse evaluations.
