Brooklyn Bridge : Residential
Rules & Guidelines
Program Rules and Guidelines at Brooklyn House are similar to those at our Next Step Women's work release program.
Primary Rules
- Physical violence or threats of physical violence are not allowed. Threatening and intimidation are not allowed. Each resident is responsible for making the house a safe place to be. When people share a house there are often problems or disagreements.
- Alcohol and other drug is not allowed. Screened urine samples are taken regularly. If urine results are positive, residents may be subject to dismissal.
- Sexual relations with residents or staff are not allowed.
- Residents may not leave the grounds without staff except with a pass, furlough, or approved daily plans. Legally, residents are in the custody of the Department of Correction. Any unauthorized leave may be considered an escape and residents may be subject to removal and/or additional charges.
