Alternative Incarceration Center
Objectives
The Alternative Incarceration Center (AIC) is a highly structured community based program established in July of 1990 to help alleviate jail and prison overcrowding by offering an added resource to the court (i.e. judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, bail commissioners, probation, and parole officers).
The AIC provides case management, employment assistance, and targeted interventions to:
- Pre-trial individuals referred by the Judge, Bail Commissioner or Family Services staff.
- Offenders ordered to participate in the AIC program as a condition of probation.
- Parolees referred by their Parole Officer .
- Probationers referred by their Probation Officer.
